God is one friend that will always be consistent and never change. He is our Constant Friend in the midst of the storm.
I recently watched a movie called Apple Mortgage Cake. It was based on the true story of a woman called Angela Logan, who had baked her way out of financial troubles using her grandmother’s Apple Cake recipe.
What struck me the most about Angela Logan was that even though she was so kind she would go above and beyond to help people, she was vehemently stubborn in refusing help from her family and friends.
Towards the end of the movie, Angela was neck deep in orders with no clue as to how she was going to deliver hundreds of cakes. In her frustration, she prayed to God asking Him to help her as she acknowledged she “could not do this on her own”.
She later woke up to find that her friends and family had figured out a way to help her. The doors that became open to her and the favour she received were simply mind-blowing.
Her best friend said she had decided to come and help her regardless. She knew Angela was never going to ask for help, even though she desperately needed all the help she could get.
God never leaves us even when we ignore Him
Angela Logan’s friends in the movie reminded me of God. Sometimes God tries to help us but we push Him away because we think we can figure things out on our own without His help.
However, just like Angela’s friends, God is not petty and never leaves us alone. He always finds a way to help us and come through for us in our most difficult times. God is our Constant Friend!
My prayer today is that you would remember that God is our Constant Friend. He is not going anywhere.
He will always be there for us and help us figure out how to navigate our current and future challenges.
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother – Proverbs 18:24 KJV

Thank you for input Sir
God never leaves us nor forsake us. He is always there to bear our burden and help us walk through situations. He is an amazing friend and I can’t imagine how life would have been without him.
Well said Sis!
What a friend we have in Jesus!
Thank you so much for your contribution – it’s very encouraging.
It is so true how most times we forget that God is even in the little details of our lives and we fail to acknowledge His help…
Thank you for being a blessing to us in these times!
You are right Sis… May God help us see how much we need Him each day.
He’s always around to meet every need…
Thanks for your input!
A very lovely write-up Stella. God is Love and our help in times of trouble. God can make even your enemies give you what belongs to you or willingly help you without you having to throw a single stone. The heart of men are in His hands. Just like the potter and He can direct it to anywhere He so desires. But He gives us free will….to choose and always there to lend a Helping hand when we need it without even us knowing and even when we dont remember to ask. His mercy is boundless.
This also reminds me of the story of the Footprints. Someone complaining about noticing that even though he saw two different footprints by the sea shore, (his and God’s) he noticed that at the most trying moments of his life, he could see only one footprint. He asked why God decided to leave him at those times he needed God’s help most. God replied He never left him. Those times he saw a single footprint was Him, God carrying him.
God sure is our help in times of trouble.
Wow!!!
Absolutely spot on Bro!
Thank you sooo much for your contribution – very insightful.
Thank you sis for reminding us that our Heavenly Father has all the answers to any difficulties we may face. All we have to do is ‘ask’ for his help and he will be there. How comforting is that ! ….especially as he calls us his friends.
Yes Indeed Sis!
God indeed is the only One who has all the answers – isn’t that incredible?!
Thank you for you input!
Very true! I attest to the truth that God is the constant friend that never fails nor changes. May we continue to be humble enough to ask Him for that help which He alone can supply.
Amen!
He is the unfailing and unchanging God! Alleluia!
Thank you so much for your input Sis xx
