God is Our Sustainer in the midst of the COVID-19 storm.
Same Storm, Different Attitudes and Outcomes.
Several weeks ago, I watched a YouTube video by Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in which he mentioned that even though people may be experiencing the same storm, a storm may affect different people in different ways. This is actually very true.
In the midst of the COVID-19 storm, some people are getting richer via hiking prices of commodities and exploiting people. Others are making millions selling essential supplies like gloves, masks, etc.
Conversely, some businesses have crumbled, and some people have lost their jobs.
Sadly, some people have lost family and friends too.
Whilst some other people are living in perpetual fear.
For some people, the experience has strengthened their faith and made them closer to God.
Whilst some people are making jokes out of the whole situation – some to the point of even making silly videos to joke about it.
God is Our Sustainer and He cares about us
Regardless of how the COVID-19 storm is changing, or has changed your life, I would like to encourage you not to lose heart because the Lord will help you through this difficult time. God is our Sustainer.
God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my life. Psalms 54:4 CSB
LORD, sustain me as you promised, that I may live! Do not let my hope be crushed. Psalms 119: 116 NLT
Not only does God ensure we get through any storms we encounter, He is always right with us, walking with us in the storms so that we are never alone.
And sometimes when things get so overwhelming that we feel like we can’t go on, and just want to throw in the towel, He even carries us.
Isaiah 46: 3 -4 NIV reads:
Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob,
all the remnant of the people of Israel,
you whom I have upheld since your birth,
and have carried since you were born.
Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
The LORD will hold your hand, and if you stumble, you still won’t fall. Psalms 37: 24 CEV
Even if good people fall seven times, they will get back up. But when trouble strikes the wicked, that’s the end of them. Proverbs 24:16 CEV
It is important that we do not give room to worry and complaining because they do not do anybody any good. Rather let us turn our complaints and frustrations to prayer because the Lord cares for us.
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalms 55:22 NIV
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 NLT
God Our Sustainer understands what we are going through and He will see us through.

Alleluia to our Almighty Sustainer🙏🏽
Amen!
Amen !
He is indeed our sustainer.
He is the vine. We are the branches. Without Him we cannot make it.
Thanks for sharing. This is very reassuring.
Alleluia! Amen!!!
We can do and be nothing with Him. We are nothing without Him.
