When you Walk on Water and Turn to God in Prayer, He will Hear you and Heal you.
A few years ago, the Lord dropped this scripture in my heart and I would love to share it with you.
If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14 AMP
I know we all have issues but do we really take time to pray? Many times I feel very overwhelmed by the challenges of life and find it difficult to pray… But if you are like me, I pray that from today you will find the courage to keep praying.
The scripture says in 1 Chronicles 7:14 to “humble ourselves and pray”. This means stop depending on your strength and accept you can’t do anything or change any situation on your own without the help of God.
Then it says to “Seek the Lord” (paraphrased). I was pondering what it means to seek the Lord and I remembered that God = His Word. IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. John 1:1 AMP. See also Isaiah 9:6.
I believe to “seek” God may mean to seek out His Word (through the Bible).
So seek out the Word that applies to your situation. For instance,
I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health – that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul! 3 John 1: 2 MSG
After seeking the Word that applies to us, we then have to crave, desire, demand and require (through prayer – out of [the] necessity – of needing a change) that the Word comes to pass in our lives.
The last part of 2 Chronicles 7:14 says that after we have humbled ourselves and prayed, sought, craved, and required of necessity His face (through praying the Word into our lives), we need to then turn from our wicked ways (i.e. stop sinning and following the evil ways of the world and totally embrace God)
After we have done ALL the above, God promises to hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land.
Our land represents our lives, our family and everything that pertains to us – health, finances, relationships etc
But remember you can’t do one and leave the other. For instance, you can’t pray and continue sinning. You have to:
1. Humble yourself (admit you need God).
2. Pray (ask God for a change based on the knowledge of His promises which you have gained through His Word).
3. Seek, crave and require His face (desire and make a demand that His Word which He promised must come to pass in your life and be the final say in your life)
4. Turn from your evil ways (embrace God and obey Him always).
Then He will hear from heaven and He will heal your land.
May the Lord give us understanding and help us to humble ourselves, turn to Him (in prayer) and obey Him (His Word) at all times in Jesus’ name.
