When you Walk on Water you can find 10,000 Reasons to Thank God

A few years ago, I was pondering on the title of the song, 10000 Reasons.

Like me, someone might wonder if you can truly find 10,000 reasons to thank God. But you know what? You can indeed!

I will give you pointers on some things you can thank God for everyday,  but you may have to do some maths.

1. God makes you able to fall asleep EVERY night (well, most nights in case you are an insomniac). You do not fall asleep because you are tired or it is bedtime. Trust me, I know.

2. He makes you able to wake up EVERY morning – not because your alarm went off or your body clock knows it’s time to awake. Well He made that body clock work anyway.

3. You are able to eat EVERYDAY without medical intervention (hopefully).

4. You are able to go to the toilet EVERYDAY (for a number 1 and maybe a 2) without medical intervention. Perhaps you need some help? But hopefully it is nothing too complicated.

5. You are able to use your five main senses EVERYDAY without any medical aids – fingers crossed. This one is actually a 5 in one blessing already. You get the gist?

I could go on (you can continue on your own) but let’s leave it at these 5 things that God MAKES HAPPEN for you, EVERYDAY!

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3 : 22 – 23 NIV

Multiply 5 by 365.25 days by your age (i.e. 5*365.25*your age).

The total is a modest figure for the number of times God has made these 5 things happen for you in your lifetime.

On top of these five things, I believe there are are loads of other things the Lord has done both regularly and on the rare occasion in your life.

Do you now agree that you have countless reasons to thank God?
