An Introduction to the “God in the Midst of the Storm” Series

The COVID-19 Pandemic is like a storm

In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak and the recommended “lock-down” of non-essential travel and activities by governments around the world, it has become very clear to me that we need God to get us through the challenging times we are currently experiencing.

I feel like this whole COVID-19 situation is like a storm.

Like most storms, it is a scary time and there is death, destruction, desolation, disruption, fear and uncertainty all around.

As in most storms, people have to ensure that they have what they need to get through the storm, and they need to find a way of coping during the storm.

However, like ALL storms, this storm WILL blow over and we will see the end of it.

Encouragement from Love Letters written thousand of years ago

I believe God IS and HAS everything we need to get through the COVID-19 storm.

I therefore wanted to send some encouragement using snippets from some of the many Love Letters written thousands of years ago just for us.

You see, The Bible is a massive journal of many words that were written as inspired by God. However, I now strongly feel that some of the text in the Bible are like Love Letters – reassuring words if you like – customised just for us.

I have decided to write about 30 things that I believe God is to us in the midst of a storm with an emphasis on the COVID-19 storm.

My desire was to actually just send as many encouraging Bible verses as I could, but I did try my best to provide some context in each post.

I hope that these articles encourage you, or someone you know if you were to share it with them.

It is also my desire that these articles will challenge you to seek out more of the little love notes tailor made for you in the Bible as well.

Let go [of your concerns]! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth. Psalms 46:10 GWT
