God is our shelter from the storm.
The UK Government, as well some other Governments around the world, recommended that people should practice social distancing and self-isolation in order to help contain the spread of the Corona Virus. They have instructed people to stay indoors as much as possible as that is the best way to limit the spread of COVID-19.
A few weeks ago, I saw images of some homeless people with signs asking the UK Government “What about us? Where are we going to self-isolate?”
As I remember those images of the homeless people with no shelter, my heart goes out to them, but I am glad that God is my Shelter.
Always welcome in God’s shelter
When I have nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, or no one to turn to, God is my Shelter.
“and there will be a shelter for shade from heat by day, and a refuge and shelter from storm and rain. Isaiah” 4:6 CSB
God always welcomes us into His shelter – into His presence – with open arms.
Everyone the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never cast out. John 6:37 CSB
In these trying times, I encourage you to draw near to God and get into His shelter – His presence – because you will always be welcome, and He will always meet your needs, including your need for love, warmth, protection, comfort, and healing.
I will be a permanent guest in your home; I will find shelter in the protection of your wings. Psalms 61:4 NET
As we navigate the COVID-19 storm, I pray that we will remember that God is our Shelter from the storm.
I pray that we will find comfort knowing that He will meet all our needs as we dare to get comfortable abiding in His presence.
I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm.” Psalm 55: 8 NIV
