Jesus, God in human form, is the most upright, faithful and morally sound person we can ever have the priviledge of knowing. He is our Perfect Example.
Bad Examples
Several weeks ago, I watched a WhatsApp video of how some people – male and female, young and old – broke into and vandalised some shops in London.
I was enraged as I watched them destroying property and stealing clothes from a shop. I wondered why people were breaking into shops to steal clothes at a time when people are supposed to stay indoors. Surely, they did not have anywhere fancy to wear those clothes to at this time? To be honest most of the things they looted were not even fancy. There was just no justification for their actions.
Thankfully, I later heard that the video was not recent, but was recorded previously during a riot that happened years ago in London.
A Good Example
Regardless of the recency of the video, something did happen later on in the video to remind me that there are still good people in the world.
I wondered what was going on when a random middle aged man rushed into one of the shops that was being vandalised. It turned out he had discovered that some clothes in one store were on fire, and had rushed into the store to grab and throw the clothes outside the store, in order to stop a fire breaking out. Then he calmly walked away in the midst of the chaos all around him.
The action of the random man in the video really touched me. The man showed himself to be a good example.
Whilst people were vandalising shops, stealing and setting fires, the gentleman calmly put out a fire right in the midst of those perpetuating evil deeds.
This man reminded me that in the midst of a crooked and evil generation, we can still be good examples.
We may not be able to rid the world of evil, or do enough to make things around us better, but we can do our bit to make a difference, however little.
We should be examples in kindness, good morals and good character.
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 KJV
God, Our Perfect Example
The man in the video also reminded me that Jesus – God in human form – is our Perfect Example.
We should all strive to be like Jesus who is the embodiment of goodness and uprightness in every possible way.
Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are. But he did not sin! Hebrews 4:15 CEV
My prayer is that in the midst of the evil and chaos all around us, God would grant us the courage to continue to do right, and be good examples to others just like Jesus.
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2 :13 NLT
I pray that we will find the courage and strength to follow the paths that Jesus, our Perfect Example, has laid out for us.
For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. 1 Peter 2:21 NLT

Awww thank you so much Darling!
Much appreciated!xx
This is very inspiring. May God give us to grace to continue being a positive example. I’m always inspired by the quote which says
” Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.”

Hmmmm
That is so true!
May God help us to live life on purpose and be good examples!
Thank you for your comment.
Very inspiring.
Jesus is truly the example we should follow in a world that is so confused.
Absolutely Sis!
Thanks for your comment.
Kudos Stella!
Time flies, isn’t it? It was like yesterday since you started writing those simple and yet powerful reminder of what is expected in the time of storms.
Thanks for those 30 days of inspiring reminder.
I have to constantly remind myself this- just because I’m doing what my Lord, Jesus says I should do, it does not mean that I’ll not encounter storm. Glory be to God, He’ll always be with me in the midst of the storm & surely give me a new song to sing, in & out of the storm.
Thank be to God, storms don’t last forever!
We all must learn to hold each other’s hands together. 🙏🏽
Amen!!!
Thanks for sharing this really powerful insight Ma – the fact that we experience storms does not mean we have done anything wrong.
Plus God did not promise we will never experience storms but He promised to always be with us whatever we go through. In fact He promised He will carry us (help us, deliver us) right from our mother’s womb till we are old and grey.
May we always have reasons to rejoice, even through the storms of life.
And may we continue to be His hands and feet – expressing His love and grace – to those around us in Jesus name.
God bless you Ma!
Jesus our perfect example. Awesome write up! May His Holy Spirit always prompt us with these words” what will Jesus do” before we respond in the storms of life. Jesus response in the storm is “Peace be still” God give us the Grace to be still in the storm, while He speaks to the storm on our behalf. Thank you Ufuoma for obeying and giving to the Lord these 30 days. God’s reward for obedience is abundance,no good thing will God withhold from you in Jesus Name.Amen.
Amen and Amen and Amen!!!
Thank you so much for your encouraging words Ma.xx
I really love what you said about us remaining still while God speaks to the storm on our behalf. That’s a very powerful revelation.
It’s opened my eyes to see that we can moan from now till next year and do everything the experts say, and pray and scream and shout and cry all we want. But until we become still and calmly ask and then trust Jesus to calm the storm, the storm won’t cease.
Lord help us to be still as you calm the storm…
God bless you Ma
Thank you Stella. I have been so blessed and I have learnt a lot from your messages. I have been reminded that I have a father who’s got me and will always be there for me because I am his.
I pray that God will bless you and endow you with wisdom as you faithfully continue to inspire others and spread his word to the unreached.
Awwww thank you so much for your kind words Agnes and Amen to the prayers xx
I am really glad to hear that you have been blessed and that you learned a lot.
I pray that our God who never leaves us will continue to show Himself to be mighty in your life in Jesus name.
