God is our Light in the midst of the darkness all around us.
The Corona Virus pandemic has left many people feeling very lost and hopeless. I believe some people would compare it to groping around in the darkness, not seeing an end to the pandemic, and not knowing what the future holds.
God will light our path
Because of our God’s merciful compassion, the Dawn from on high will visit us to shine on those who live in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. Luke 1:78 – 79 HCSB
I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them. IS 42:16 NLT
Jesus is the Bright Morning Star – the Dawn from on High. He will guide us through the tunnel we are currently travelling through and bring us safely to the other side.
The Bible also describes Jesus as the Word of God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 NIV.
Understanding your word brings light to the minds of ordinary people. Ps 119:130 CEV.
Therefore, understanding the Word – God – will bring light to our minds.
God is the light that will light up our way and help us make sense of the challenges we currently experience.
Therefore as we spend time learning more about God, via learning more about Him through the Word, we get to understand God, His will and His ways better.
Subsequently, as we begin to understand God, His will and His ways better, we begin to make better sense of the world around us.
God’s words of encouragement like those found in the Bible will strengthen our hearts and guide us as we navigate the darkness around us.
We will make it to the other side
Because God is our light, we will not fear, neither will we stumble, as we courageously pass through the dark valley of COVID-19.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path – Psalms 119:105 NIV.
Because God is our light, we will safely make it to the end of this dark tunnel. We will make it to the other side – the victory side.
We will get to a place and time where we see the end of COVID-19.
We will safely, and quickly, arrive at the place of healing, restoration and celebration.
My encouragement to anyone that may be feeling lost and hopeless today is:
“the darkness will soon be over because the morning is almost here. His anger lasts only a moment, his goodness for a lifetime. Tears may flow in the night, but joy comes in the morning – Psalms 30:5 GNT.

Well said Ufuoma! God’s word is the ONLY light that can guide us in this Covid 19 storm.
Yes o!
God is the ONLY light that can truly guide us on this journey.
He will lead us safely to the future He promised.
Thanks for your contribution Sis!
Absolutely Ufuoma. God is Light, darkness always disappears at the glimpse of light. I am a city upon the hills, I shall not be hidden, I am glowing and shining out of every obscurity, i am lighting up my world, God is shinning through me, Hallelujah🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻.
Hmmmnnnn…
God is not only our Light but we are also light to a dark world – thank you for this reminder Sis!
And since we are also beacons of light, we will never walk in darkness. But more importantly we are also lighting the way for others since the Lord has made us beacons of light upon hills.
Alleluia!
Isn’t our God awesome!
In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shine through in darkness; ( thank you Jesus!!) and the darkness apprehended it not. Amen & Amen to this!!
Yes o Mummy!
The darkness cannot hold down or even understand the light. And so the darkness just has to disappear as the Father of Light and the Children of Light show up
Alleluia!
